Do you know the Five Signs?

Our employees work hard in high pressure environments. This produces amazing results for our clients – but that stress can also take a toll on our overall health and well-being.

Our goal at Booz Allen is to create an atmosphere where we can talk more comfortably and openly about emotional wellness. Nearly one in every five Americans has a diagnosable mental health condition. Often our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and even family members are suffering emotionally and don’t recognize the symptoms.

Having a common language for talking about mental health can help. Through Change Direction, we’re asking our employees to learn the Five Signs of emotional suffering. Knowing the Five Signs can help you be more aware of your emotional health and recognize when you or someone you know is in need. So join us, and pledge to learn the Five Signs.

Booz Allen’s dedication is demonstrated through leadership sponsors, recognizing the Five Signs of emotional suffering in ourselves and others, and coordinating community events such as their DC Wellness Day and hackathon to prevent veteran suicide.
