Summit County, Ohio to Launch a Regional Effort in July

Summit County Executive Russ Pry spoke to an audience of 600 people on March 31 in his State of the County address.  Although the county’s economy is improving, Pry addressed the need to focus on the social needs of the citizens.  Specifically, the county will focus on job training, support to families dealing with challenges relating to the region’s heroin epidemic, infant mortality rates and mental health problems.  The county will launch a regional effort with the national Campaign to Change Direction the weekend of July 22.
