National Military Family Association
The National Military Family Association pledges to share the 5 signs of suffering with at least 200,000 military families. After years of repeated combat deployments, it is our moral obligation to ensure service members and their families enjoy mental wellbeing. We are committed to advocating for services and providing programs that strengthen military families. Through initiatives like our Operation Purple retreats, we gather families with visible and invisible wounds to reconnect with one another and heal. We provide scholarships and other support to spouses entering counseling careers, who understand the military culture and will someday serve the military and veterans community. We testify before Congress to press for innovative solutions to the provider shortage and enhance the quality of care delivered to service members and their families. The National Military Family Association is the leading nonprofit dedicated to serving the families who stand behind the uniform. Since 1969, NMFA has worked to strengthen and protect millions of families through its advocacy and programs. As mentioned above, we provide spouse scholarships, camps for military kids, and retreats for families reconnecting after deployment and for the families of the wounded, ill, or injured. NMFA serves the families of the currently serving, retired, wounded or fallen members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Commissioned Corps of the USPHS and NOAA.
