Fishers Ramps Up Mental Health Campaign: City aims to reduce suicide rates, build public awareness

Mayor Scott Fadness launched the effort to make police, firefighters and teachers more conscious of mental health issues after learning Fishers police average a mental health call every two days. The city had 11 suicides last year, plus another 40 unsuccessful attempts, including five students in the Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
